During the process of well drilling and completion, spacers play a key role by separating the drilling fluid and cement. During this process there is potential for severe gelation or flocculation due to their chemical incompatibility. 

Spacer fluids are pumped down the drill string, ahead of the cement slurry, behind the drilling fluid. They have a number of functions and we provide various chemistries to help optimise spacer fluids with these functions which are outlined below.
