The PSL Pour Point Tester is an instrument used to measure the pour point temperatures of oils and oil products. Pour point is the lowest temperature at which the product continues to flow when it is cooling, without stirring.
This instrument is used to measure the pour point of crude oil samples before and after the addition of our pour point depressant product range. The greater the difference, the more effective the pour point depressant. By using this instrument we are able to analyse and optimise the use of our pour point depressant additives depending on the crude oil sample being used.
The PSL Pour Point Tester contains modern thermoelectrical heating/cooling modules which control the cooling of the sample automatically. The equipment can cover a temperature range of -45˚C to +150˚C with an accuracy of +/- 0.1˚C.
