Synperonic PE/L61 is a high MW, low HLB, block copolymer. Synperonic PE/L61 is suitable for water in oil emulsification, is a very effective defoamer/antifoam and can act as a low HLB co-emulsifier in blended surfactant systems. Due to it's unique properties, Synperonic PE/L61 can also be used as a demulsifier. Synperonic PE/L61's low pour point highlights it's ease of handling, even at lower temperatures. Croda's reccomended crude oil demulsifier formulation for Synperonic PE/L61 is 10-1000ppm.
The Synperonic PE series are a group of non-ionic block copolymers. The products are formed from variable levels of ethylene oxide/propylene oxide (EO/PO) monomers. Differing effects can be achieved by varying the levels of alkoxylation.
The Synperonic PE names represent the levels of EO/PO in the product. Synperonic PE is followed by a letter which describes the physical form of the product at ambient temperature, then a number which indicates the size of the PO core and then a second number which shows the level of polymerised EO.
